NH is back in the US

NH left Marina Fortin Saturday morning heading for Rouses Point which is where we must clear US Customs. Now this must be done by downloading an app and entering all your documentation just before you cross the Rouses Point ( Rt.2)Bridge. Mind you this is done while you are on the water. You lower the Canadian Courtesy Flag and raise the yellow quarantine flag until you have cleared U.S.Customs. It actually worked , once we were able to click submit and hey bingo we are cleared to head into Safe Harbor Gaines Marina.

This is Fort Montgomery which is just as you come into US Customes at Rouses Point. The fort was the scene of a fierce Revolutionary War battle for control of the Hudson River. It is now privately owned. Nana and Nandad spent two nights here simply to relax, plan our next stage and enjoy the benefits of being Safe Harbor members. Rouses Point was once a very vibrant place however we found it to be quite with lots of stores closed and spaces for lease or sale.
